Norm's Computer Services - Service Payment Terms

The client agrees to accept the solution recommended by Norm's Computer Services, which may include the replacement of hardware, or the purchase of additional software. If the client should choose not to accept this outcome, they will be liable for the labour charge incurred up to the point of recommendation of the solution. If the client's equipment is still under warranty then no hardware replacement will be undertaken and the labour fee incurred during diagnosis of the problem will be payable.

The client agrees to pay the minimum fee as defined on the website of Norm's Computer Services at URL www.normscomputerservices.com.au. This is defined as three quarters of an hour of labour time at the client's home, office, or wherever the service is being performed. Additional time is billed in periods of fifteen minutes. The client agrees to settle invoiced fees within one week of issue of the invoice. GST will be charged on all transactions.

Norm's Computer Services - Release of Liability

The client agrees to release and hold harmless Norm's Computer Services from any and all liability associated with the service performed or parts provided. The client also acknowledges that the only warranty provided is that of the manufacturer of any parts used in the repair.

In addition to the above -

Norm's Computer Services advises the client to back up important data and files prior to any services performed. If requested Norm's Computer Services can undertake this activity as part of its service, however if not the client is responsible for any archiving or backup, as well as restoration of their own data and files following completion of the service provided.

The client grants Norm's Computer Services permission and access to open, view, modify, delete, or otherwise manipulate the client's computer software, applications, data, and data storage media including, but not limited to, the computer's Operating System and system drivers and libraries, and whatever other software or data is contained on the client's computer or network.

The client grants Norm's Computer Services permission to download and/or install software on their computer and/or their network. It is the responsibility of the client to provide licensing for any software where this is required. Norm's Computer Services reserves the right to refuse to install any software for which legitimate licensing cannot be demonstrated.

The client grants Norm's Computer Services permission and access to disassemble computer systems and components, cabling, peripherals, networks including hubs, switches and routers, and any other accessories as required.

The client grants Norm's Computer Services permission to install hardware in their computer and/or on their network, as required.

The client agrees to release and hold harmless Norm's Computer Services from all liability for damage or loss as well as any incidental damage or loss, whether financial or material, that may result from its actions.

Norm's Computer Services provides chargeable on-site services and is not available for no-cost technical support by telephone.

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the client and Norm's Computer Services.

The laws of the Commonwealth of Australia shall govern this contract. Any dispute concerning this agreement shall be heard within the Commonwealth of Australia. By signing below, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Service Payment Terms and Release of Liability Form.
